Saskatchewan PNP
/Saskatchewan PNP/
Introduction
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is a way to immigrate to Canada. Through the SINP, the Province of Saskatchewan invites residency applications from non-Canadians who want to make Saskatchewan their home and nominates successful applicants to the federal government for permanent residency in Canada.
The SINP accepts applications under three categories: International Skilled Worker Category, Saskatchewan Experience Category, Entrepreneur and Farm Category.
International Skilled Worker Category includes:
- Employment Offer Category
- Tech Talent Pathway Category
- Occupations In-Demand Category
- Saskatchewan Express Entry Category
- Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot Program
Saskatchewan Experience Category includes:
- Skilled Worker with Existing Work Permit Category
- Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker with Existing Work Permit Category
- Health Professionals Category
- Hospitality Sector Project Category
- Long Haul Truck Driver Project Category
- Students Category
Entrepreneur and Farm Category includes:
On November 25, 2021, the Government of Saskatchewan announced Hard-To-Fill Skills Pilot to recruit workers. The sectors with the highest labour demands include health, manufacturing, agriculture, ag-tech, construction, hospitality and retail.
International Healthcare Worker EOI
The SINP has launched a new International Healthcare Worker Expression of Interest Pool. This pool will help connect healthcare workers with job opportunities being offered by Saskatchewan healthcare sector employers. An International Healthcare Worker EOI submission is not an application to the SINP. It is a pre-application form which allows you to fill out an online form to indicate your interest in working in Saskatchewan in a selected Health sector occupation and show your qualifications.
If you are selected and receive an employment offer, you may be eligible for the SINP’s International Skilled Worker: Employment Offer or the Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot. However, foreign workers who receive an employment offer from a Saskatchewan employer do not need to create an EOI profile but can apply directly to the categories mentioned above.
The International Healthcare Workers EOI system is open to the following Health sector occupations:

SINP broadens Existing Work Permit stream to encompass 279 additional occupations.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is expanding its Existing Work Permit stream to make temporary foreign workers in lower and intermediate-skilled jobs eligible for permanent residency.
“Through this expansion, our government is improving worker retention and directly addressing labour market gaps that Saskatchewan employers currently face,” says Martensville-Warman MLA Terry Jenson
“Creating more permanent residency opportunities for displaced Ukrainians and other international workers, is just another way our government is further supporting Saskatchewan’s businesses and economy.”
The Existing Work Permit stream of the SINP has until now only allowed newcomers in high-skilled occupations and designated trades to be eligible for permanent residency.
Permit holders can now apply in an additional 279 occupations, including farm labourers, truck drivers, retail sales, nurse aides and equipment operators.
