NWT PNP

Introduction:

NTNP consists of the following programs: Employer Driven Program and Business Driven Program. Employer Driven Program includes Critical Impact Worker Stream、Skilled Worker Stream and Northwest Territories Express Entry, and Business Driven Program includes Business Driven Stream and Self-Employed Stream.

Employer Driven Program Criteria:

  1. Have expressed interest in immigrating to the Northwest Territories
  2. Have legal status to work and hold a valid work permit, if currently residing in Canada
  3. Have the required certification or accreditation for the occupation and meet the licensing requirement if applicable
  4. Have the formal education and/or specialized training required for the specific position
  5. Have the work experience required by the employer
  6. Be able to sufficiently communicate in English and/or French
  7. Have sufficient settlement funds according to number of dependents

Critical Impact Workers Category Criteria:

  1. Submit an application in a NOC C or D occupation
  2. Have a valid work permit and must have already worked in the position in the Northwest Territories for a minimum of six months; Occupation NOC C or D
  3. Have a minimum level of CLB 4 in either official language

Skilled Worker Category Criteria:

  1. A Job offer in a NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B occupation
  2. Have a minimum level of CLB 5 in either official language in NOC B jobs, CLB 6 in NOC 0, A jobs
  3. Can fulfill the duties of the occupation

Newfoundland & Labrador Express Entry Category Criteria:

  1. Be eligible for one of EE programs
  2. Meet the criteria for skilled worker stream

Entrepreneur Category Criteria:

  1. A minimum of $300,000 CAD into starting or buying a business within the corporate boundaries of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories; or A minimum of $150,000 CAD into starting or buying a business outside of the corporate boundaries of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
  2. Have a personal net worth of: At least $500,000 CAD if starting or buying a business within the corporate boundaries of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories; or At least $250,000 CAD if starting or buying a business outside the corporate boundaries of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
  3. Demonstrate that they own at least one-third (33.3 percent) of the business
  4. Provide a good faith deposit of $75,000 CAD to be held in a trust
  5. Submit a business plan
  6. Have a minimum level of CLB 4 in English or French
  7. Live in Northwest Territories after receiving Work Permit and before receiving PR status
