NFL PNP

Introduction:

NLPNP consists of the following immigration categories: Newfoundland & Labrador Express Entry Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker Category, International Graduate Category, International Entrepreneur Category and International Graduate Entrepreneur Category.

Newfoundland & Labrador Express Entry Category Criteria:

  1. Have a valid Express Entry Key Code and be accepted by Express Entry Pool
  2. Have a full-time job or job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer. The job or job offer must be at the National Occupational Classification (NOC) level 0, A, or B
  3. Have a valid work permit or be entitled to apply for one
  4. Have completed post-secondary degree or diploma
  5. Have at least 1 year of skilled work (NOC 0/A/B) experience in the primary occupation in the last 10 years or 2 years in skilled trade within the past 5 years
  6. Have intention and ability to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador
  7. Have a minimum level CLB5 in English or French
  8. Score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 on the PNP point assessment grid
  9. Have enough settlement funds according to number of dependents

Skilled Worker Category Criteria:

  1. Be 21- 59 years old
  2. Have a full-time job or job offer for at least 2 years from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer and the compensation meets provincial employment standards and prevailing wage rates
  3. Have a valid Work Permit with at least 4 months remaining or is eligible to apply for one;
  4. Have the qualifications, training, skills, and/or accreditation required for the job
  5. Can demonstrate the intention and ability to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador
  6. Have enough settlement funds according to number of dependents
  7. Can demonstrate sufficient English or French language capability to perform the employment duties. Have a minimum level CLB4 in English or French for NOC C D workers

International Graduate Category Criteria:

  1. Be 21-59 years old
  2. Have a valid Post-Graduate Work Permit with at least 4 months validity remaining
  3. Have completed a minimum of a two-year diploma or degree program, while studying on a full-time basis or one-year post-graduate degree programs and certificate programs which require a previous degree or diploma from public funded post-secondary institutions
  4. Have a full-time job or job offer in a NOC 0,A or B occupation, or a NOC C occupation, provided the occupation is in an in-demand occupation; out-of-province graduates’ job or job offer must be directly related to the field of study
  5. Have the qualifications, training, skills, and accreditation required for the job
  6. Have the intention and ability to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador
  7. Can demonstrate sufficient English or French language capability to perform the employment duties. Have a minimum level CLB 4 in English or French for NOC C D workers
  8. If you completed your studies at a recognized post-secondary institute outside of Newfoundland and Labrador, you may be required to work in a job that is in your field of study for a minimum of 1 year prior to submission of your PNP application

International Entrepreneur Category Criteria:

  1. Be 21-59 years of age
  2. High school diploma
  3. Minimum CLB 5
  4. Net worth of $600,000
  5. Obtain a score of 72 out of 120 in the Expression of Interest (EOI) assessment grid
  6.  Invest at least $200,000 CAD of his or her own money to establish a business in the Newfoundland and Labrador with a minimum ownership of 33.3 per cent or $1 million in equity investment
  7. At least two years’ experience actively managing and owning a business (25 per cent minimum ownership) in the last five years OR 5 or more years’ experience in a senior business management role in the last ten years
  8. Create at least one full-time job for PR or Canadian Citizen in the province
  9. Conduct a mandatory exploratory visit

International Graduate Entrepreneur Category Criteria:

  1. Be at least 21 years old
  2. Have graduated or completed a program of at least two years in length from Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic
  3. Hold a valid PGWP
  4. CLB 7
  5. Have at least one year’s experience in actively managing and owning a business in which they hold a minimum one-third ownership in Newfoundland and Labrador prior to seeking provincial nomination
  6. No minimum investment required
